St. John Bio-logics Wristband - Label Based

The Bio-logics Label Based Admitting wristband is a complete, hospital-wide patient ID system for facilities using label printers in their admitting process. This band consolidates the Admitting, Blood Bank and Nursing Alerts into a single band which will help you increase patient safety and reduce your overall wristband costs.

St. John’s proprietary consolidated Bio-
logics wristbands eliminate the need for separate admissions, alert and blood bank bands by combining all three into one. This innovative approach:
Promotes 24X7 Patient Identification™ and increases patient safety with the ability to
immediately re-band the patient at bedside.
Increases patient safety by communicating critical patient information in one spot as part
       of the primary admitting band.
Provides better comfort for patients because it combines multiple bands into a single ID
       band.
Helps reduce the likelihood of information getting lost when replacing multiple
       wristbands.
Reduces costs because a consolidated wristband eliminates the need for multiple bands.
Helps reduce the likelihood of information getting omitted when replacing multiple
       wristbands.
      Latex Free

Features Benefits
The only band that enables the patient to be immediately rebanded at bedside providing 24x7 Patient Identification™.  (Cut off the tag and immediately re-attach to a new wristband.)
  • Significantly increases the percentage of patients who are banded at any one time (compliance %).  Making sure patients are banded reduces the errors associated with unbanded patients and increases patient safety.
Consolidates multiple bands: admitting, blood and nursing alert(s) into one band.
  • Increases patient safety and reduces errors by eliminating the chance that multiple bands will be overlooked or not replaced after cut-off.
  • Cost savings when using one band per patient vs. multiple bands.
  • More comfortable for the patient to wear only one band.
Only wristband to provide a flat surface for bar code scanning.
  • Provides a high “first read rate” for the barcode even for small wrists!
  • Easier for hospital staff to scan barcodes and accurately capture the information ensuring:
    • Patients are identified correctly on the first scan.
    • Accurate capture of all patient billing
    • The elimination of error prone and time consuming manual data re-entry, especially for glucometers.
Leverage existing printing equipment.
  • No need to purchase new printers.  The label can be laser, direct thermal or thermal transfer printed - using the hospital's existing printers.
