View Products >>
Since the 1990’s, hospitals around the world have selected laser wristbands to support their patient identification efforts. The many benefits of laser wristbands have resulted in their popularity, and hundreds of millions of patients have been issued these bands to ensure patient safety. As with all St. John Companies wristbands, our laser wristbands are latex-free and are also PVC and phthalate-free for patient safety.
As with all patient identification products, understanding the available features and selecting the ones best suited to your facility’s needs and expectations is a key to success. |

Simple to implement – because laser printers are usually found throughout hospitals, it is easy for facilities to incorporate the laser sheets into their printing process at admissions, outpatient departments and on nursing floors.
Tamper evident or repositionable – by evaluating your facility’s desire to ensure that wristbands are not unknowingly removed versus the ability to remove and replace the wristbands in case they need to be moved to the other wrist, hospitals can select their preferred adhesive closure option.
Fluid resistance and protected print – the laser wristband’s clear polyester laminate serves several important functions. The laminate:
• Promotes your facility’s efforts to improve bedside scanning rates with its excellent ANSI
scanning grades.
• Keeps fluids and contaminants away from the print on the band and can easily be wiped off
with alcohol or
other cleansers with no impact to the image.
Choice of formats – laser wristbands usually combine labels along with the wristband, to streamline printing requirements. Laser wristbands can be provided in multiple sizes and custom product layouts are available.
Easy to scan – Laser wristbands support text, linear, 2D and Aztec barcodes, photos and graphics.
Easy to Use – ongoing development and improvements to laser wristbands have focused on simplifying the use for staff as well as improving comfort for patients. Recent changes to the wristbands materials and manufacturing processes have resulted in significant improvements in user satisfaction levels.
