Protective shield style wristbands offer optimal protection when utilizing laser or paper labels. Shield acts as a barrier to protect patient data from fluid penetration, thus reducing the growth of bacteria.
The shield is made from clear, anti-glare materials and facilitates excellent first time bar code read rates.
Adhesive or clasp closure – when choosing your wristband, you can select either an adhesive or clasp closure. Some facilities like the adhesive closure bands since they are easy to use and do not require a separate clasp. Those locations preferring a more permanent closure may opt for a band with a secondary clasp that is secured through pre-punched holes. St. John’s unique wristband clasps are color-coded and/or embossed to enable hospitals to implement individual or multiple color coded alerts and warnings into a single wristband.
